Polarization Related Emulation and Testing in Coherent Optical Communication Systems

Dr. Shawn Wang received his Ph.D. from Purdue University where his thesis research was on polarization mode dispersion monitoring, emulation, and compensation. Later he joined a startup company NuCrypt LLC and was responsible for building the first commercially available polarization entangled photon sources used in quantum communications and computing. Currently he is a Senior Optical Engineer and Technical Services Manager at General Photonics Corporation.
