High Speed DWDM Provisioning â€“ The Story of a World Record
Modern intelligent transport networks must be able to respond to unexpected demands for increased capacity in the terabit range. This webinar describes a provisioning "time trial" of 8Tb/s of capacity by Infinera and DANTE, over the GEANT pan-European backbone, that established a new world record officially recognized by the Guinness World Records organization.
Attendees will learn how coherent DWDM super-channels allow service providers to provision multi-terabit capacity in just a few minutes, with only one engineer performing the procedure. We will discuss the importance of photonic integration in engineering these super-channels, and how the resulting implementation can be integrated with digital OTN switching and a Generalized MPLS Control Plane to create a scalable, converged and highly automated transport network architecture.
